What can I expect
on Sunday mornings?

Here at CrossRoads, we do everything we can to make your first visit the kind that communicates to you one thing: we want you to come back.

• We promise not to embarrass you in any way.
• We won’t make you stand up and introduce yourself.
• We don’t want you to blindly give us your money.
• We will not try to sell you anything.

We can promise you one thing, however: you won’t leave feeling lonely.  We love to meet new people, and we organize our time together around two major things: loving God, and loving people.  That means YOU.  Be sure of this: you will be sought out and greeted – probably by more than a just a few people.  Why?  God loves you, and because of His love, so do we.  We want you to know that’s what separates CrossRoads from most parties, new workplaces, and a lot of other “new” things in your life: We truly care about you because God cares about you.  And He brought you to our door.

We meet from 9:00 to 10:30 am:

Most of the time we take a 10 minute fellowship time between our worship time and the message with coffee and bagels and “hang out” time.  It’s all free – take as much as you need.  You can even finish it in the main auditorium!

Modern worship:

We love modern music.  We sing a lot of new songs, present them in a modern way, and hold on to a lot of not-so-new songs to keep things somewhat familiar.  We see music as an awesome creative tool God uses to draw us to Him.  

Biblical teaching:

Frankly, you and I can walk into many churches today where you will never be asked to open a Bible.  That won’t be the case when you come to CrossRoads… Why?  Because we’re quite certain you don’t really care to hear the pastor tell you how to handle your finances, or how to win friends and influence people, or how to improve your golf game.  Our pastor will, however, talk with you about what the Bible says, and how we are to apply the Truth of God to our everyday lives.  Now, we don’t mean to imply we’re not going to have any fun… one visit, and we’re certain you’ll be cured of that worry!

Excellent children’s ministry:

We begin our worship time with everyone together in the main auditorium, then dismiss nursery age children (ages birth thru 3 years) right up front – just a few minutes after 9:00 am.  You are invited to go back with your little ones and meet the teachers – especially on your first visit.  And you're more than welcome to stay with your children if you’d like, or simply come on back to the main auditorium after you’ve met their teachers and seen their rooms.

• Most every Sunday, children 4 years thru 8^th grade (divided into several age groups) will be dismissed for their own “church time,” a little later in the service.
• High schoolers stay in the service throughout.

There is no dress code.  You’ll notice all styles, and we like it that way.
