Children's/Women's Outreach

Each month women and children from CrossRoads have the privilege of ministering to the the folks at Hundred Palms, an assisted living facility here in Tucson. The children sing songs they've learned in Sunday School and we all enjoy visiting with the residents.  The children often make small gifts to give to the residents and we try to make holidays special. We notice that the children (and adults!) are becoming more comfortable visiting with the residents---God is using us to touch their lives as they touch ours. We welcome your talent and time, so if you are able to sing or perform in some way please let us know.  But mostly we just enjoy visiting!

Our desire to make an impact in our community is becoming a reality.  The women and children of CrossRoads have been going to Hundred Palms Independent & Assisted Living Home every month for a year and a half.  What a blessing to be able to share, listen, touch, and connect with the wonderful people who reside there!

Many of us, including the kids, have made new friends and look forward to visiting with them.  The residents are so appreciative of our visits and have expressed such joy at hearing the children sing.  We arrive bringing lots of cookies and as one self-described “cookie monster” said, “they love having the homemade stuff!”

Remember that we are on a planned rotation of going to Hundred Palms every second Tuesday of every month, 2:30 to 3:30 PM.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to join us yet, please consider coming with us next time!
